Holistic and Integrative Health CoachingA holistic health coaching program needs to consider four major major quadrants, these include the mind and body, as well as social and environmental factors.
Many holistic health models only pay attention to the mind-body connection, and neglect the role of relationships, our social lives, communication, and the environment. In a comprehensive holistic health program, these four quadrants need to be considered. Get a Free Holistic Health Consultation Today |

The Mind-Body Connection
The influence of our minds and bodies on one another is profound, and represents a frontier in medical breakthroughs. Using simple methods like body awareness, mindfulness, and meditation, we can positively influence our health and decrease stress. Many health conditions today such as headaches, hypertension, and heart disease are being associated with high stress and unhealthy lifestyles. By incorporating mind-body practices into our daily lives, it can helps us to alleviate stress, and live more peaceful harmonious lives. The Physical Body Our bodies represent one of the four major quadrants in a holistic health model, and physical routines, practices, and treatments help to keep our bodies healthy. When we speak of the physical aspects of health it concerns things like exercise, diet, nutrition, supplements, massage, bodywork, acupuncture, surgery, physiotherapy, and the use of medications and drugs. |

Mental Health, Well-Being & the Psychology of Triads
In holistic health it is imperative to understand the minds role in conditions like depression, anxiety, addictions, and self-doubt. Additionally, many conditions are psychosomatic and need to be dealt with using physical and psychological processes.
While some therapies work more symptomatically, others work at deeper levels and get to the underlying root conditions. In holistic medicine we seek to understand causative factors that lead to health problems. When there are psychological patterns and emotional processes that contribute to disease, they need to be addressed appropriately.
Methods I use to work at this level include:
Voice Dialogue
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Mindfulness
Personality & Character Structure Analysis
Meditation

The Psychology of Triads
The Psychology of Triads is a system I developed after counseling and coaching people for many years. It is based in principles from Voice Dialogue, but also draws from CBT and Depth Psychology. The methods may be used for mental health and personal development, and they are also useful for those interested in mindfulness, spirituality, and meditation. In this system we start with the most common emotions or thoughts that a person experiences, and from that determine what characters structures and sub-personalities are present in one's conscious and unconscious mind. |
For instance, suppose someone suffers from frequent self-doubt and anxiety. Taking these as a starting point, we want to identify an underlying character structure that is at the root of this pattern. This third factor will vary widely between people, but the list to the side gives common character structures and complexes related to self-doubt and anxiety. |
When we determine the major psychological triads playing out in our minds, we can develop more awareness and create action plans for positive change.
